My four and a half year stay at Customer Research Inc has come to an end. Today, I was "encouraged to find other employment”... interpret that as you will... due to my becoming frustrated and leaving the building to release that frustration. The boss said there were other reasons, but did not cite any in particular. I think my tendency toward whistle blowing and standing up for my rights as an employee likely were the incited reasons.
So, here I am, on a precipice. Should I go strait into the search for a new job, or should I take the summer off and get out there searching when the summer season is over and all those young'uns go back to school. The added bonus to this would be having time free for Ren Faire and other activities... the down side would be that it would eat away at my savings. Another down side would be the question "why were you with out a job for 2 months at this [point in time?" that potential employers might ask. I was thinking aim for getting a job in September, right after Faire season ends... you know start the hunt in August with the hope of finding a job by mid September (just in time for the start of the school year).
Oh, that is another piece of news. I have decided what I want to do with my life. I want to be an elementary school teacher. I have enrolled at HCC, as a step toward this goal.
And in other news, I have a cell phone. I went ahead and got a TracFone... I tell my self it is because I want to make it easier for potential employers to contact me and to make planning with friends easier. If you would like my number (and I deem you worthy), ask and you may receive. I do not plan on using it as my primary contact, so the home phone is still my preferred contact method. Ask for that too, if you would like it.
